All of the type used in silent films is this style, mostly serifs some more luxurious and extravagant than others. I think this kind of type was used because of the experience of watching a film at the theatre rather than its normallness of todays films. I don't want to just recreate this with my logo for the film festival, I want to try and capture this but update it and bring it up to date possible.
